Good day. This blog has been converted to an Update mode. There comes a time when just praying, studying, and searching the Word is not enough. In our community, this is now the time to actually live it out. Jesus commands that we "Love one another."(John 13:34-35) (34 A New commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples if ye have love to another. (KJV))
Our area experienced a significant flooding event caused by Hurricane Helene. This flood hit the area with such force that widespread destruction occurred. It took several days for our supplies, personnel, and volunteers could even get here from other areas. We had to band together and, with God's help, maintained, as best we could, the resources we had to work with. No power, water supply, cell, internet, or landline service has existed since the event nine days ago. Gradually, things are being restored, but very slowly, as working around the destruction has been difficult in these mountains. Each day, our pastor gives updates on the status of our church. The Red Cross and FEMA have set up the High School and Hospital sites. We pray for all of the Rescue teams that have come in, local fire departments and law enforcement, and volunteer medical staff that have come in. So many folks have come in to do the clean-up, clear out, search teams, and helicopter drops from various groups that have arrived to assist.
